If you are a fellow musician or marketeer, you might be interested to read which Music Marketing Tools I Use
So I will share some of the music marketing tools I use to help get my music out there and build a following. Hopefully, this will give you some ideas of how you can market your music.
[Please let me know if you have other suggestions. I'm open to advise.]
For my artist ecosystem, I prioritize three things above all else:
1. A WEBSITE & EMAIL LIST
A website is needed when you want to be found fast and easy on the internet. Having no website is like having no address or phone number!
Do you want to rely on a third-party website like Facebook or Google to have your business found? I bet you won't!
Wouldn't it be safer to take control of your website and the method for people to read or hear more about you?
When you have a website, you can reach out to your fans with ease. And you can control and update as information changes.
In marketing circles, there is this adagio. The money is in the list. I don't know if that is true, but as a musician, I find having a mailing list handy to reach out to people who have signed up when I have something relevant to offer.
I use Bandzoogle to host my site. I also use Bandzoogle to get signups for my email list and as a tool to send out regular emails.
2. A LANDING PAGE GENERATOR
In addition to a website, there are various free tools that artists can use to create landing pages.
Landing pages are important because they're often the first point of contact between an artist and a 'potential' fan. They should be designed to convert visitors into fans by providing information about the artist and their music and a way for visitors to sign up for the artist's mailing list or follow them on social media.
I often use Switch.io to get the job done. Here are some examples of landing pages I use.

3. A SOCIAL MEDIA TOOL
As an independent artist, I have to juggle a lot of chores. Besides writing, recording, and performing songs, I also have to promote myself.
Having social media accounts is one way to go about this.
So I use Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and the likes. I'm a massive fan of using tools to automate my workflows.
To handle those accounts more easily, I use an app called Contentstudio. Contentstudio saves me a ton of time in my music marketing efforts. I no longer have to manually create and schedule social media posts or track my analytics myself. The time I save using Contentstudio allows me to focus on other aspects of my music career, like writing new songs or booking shows.
If you're looking for a tool to help you with your music marketing, I highly recommend checking out Contentstudio. It's helped me save time and be more efficient in my work.
So here you have it. 3 Programs that make my life as an indie musician somewhat easier.
These are not the only tools/apps out there. These, however, are tools I am familiar with and happy to use.
WHAT I'M WORKNG ON AT THE MOMENT.
I am planning to release one or two songs this year. Both are cover songs. I'm trying to figure out how to go about this. Obviously, there are copyright matters to consider.
Cheers,
Julience
