Dear friend,
I hope this email catches you in good health.
Here's a short update of what I've been up to.
We are heading towards the end of the first half of 2022.
A year that has been challenging on many fronts for many people around the world.
I consider myself lucky and thankful to have been able to release some new songs this year.
As you might know, guitar-oriented rock is my trademark.
But, in addition to being an active lover of rock and rock themes, I am also a religious person.
I showcase my love of hymns at least once a month in my local church as a counterpoint to up-tempo, energetic rock and roll.
Perhaps an unusual combination, but this one suits me perfectly.
Hymns have been around for ages.
They are an important part of my worship experience.
Hymns are special because they provide a common language for Christians around the world.
They also remind us of our faith heritage and connect us to believers throughout history. In my experience, singing hymns leads to a deeper worship experience than just listening to music.
When we join together in song, we are proclaiming our faith together and building up our community of believers.
I decided to release one or two hymns this year before continuing with original material in the second half of 2022. (At least that is the plan ;-) )
The first hymn is called Christ Liveth in Me
It is a hymn written by
Lyrics: Daniel Webster Whittle (1840-1901)
Music: James McGranahan (1840-1907)
Thanks a lot!
