It's not easy being a musician and artist in 2022.
Algorithms are constantly squeezed and when you're developing your fanbase, you need all the help you can get.
There is SO much opportunity 🚪out there for artists, however it is also very difficult for many to reach them. Without an enormous budget.
Now if you do want to help an indie artist, these are some things you can do for them.
Most won't even cost you a dime!
- Like, comment and share 🦜 their posts.
This is because organic reach is lowering every day and they need every interaction for their content to get boosted. - Stream their music more than once
This is so they can tell the #Spotify algorithm they love the song and it should be put into more playlists for others. - Add their music to your own playlists
This is also to help the Spotify algorithm discover their song, it's more powerful than just streaming it. - Order physical copies and merchandise when you can
Streaming as we know doesn't bring in enough revenue. The best way to support artists financially is through their channels. By buying them a coffee ;-) 😊 - Share their music on your socials
A fan sharing their music on their socials is one of the most powerful things fans can do - most people find new music through others. - And the most important one...
You need to enjoy your their art, that's the best thing you can do. ☀️
Music isn't about money, it's about human connection and making someone's day a brighter place through music. 🎵🎵
I hope this will convince you to lend your favorite indie artist a hand!
A special thanks to Damian Keyes for his inspiration
