Hymns
Guitar-oriented rock is my trademark. In addition to being an active lover of rock and rock themes, I am also a religious person.Ā
I showcase my love of hymns at least once a month in my local church as a counterpoint to up-tempo, energetic rock and roll.Ā
Perhaps an unusual combination, but this one suits me perfectly.Ā
Hymns have been around for ages.Ā
They are an important part of my worship experience.Ā
Hymns are special because they provide a common language for Christians around the world.Ā
They also remind us of our faith heritage and connect us to believers throughout history. In my experience, singing hymns leads to a deeper worship experience than just listening to music.Ā
When we join together in song, we are proclaiming our faith together and building up our community of believers.
Lyrics
AS THE DEER
Verse 1Ā
As the deer panteth for the waterĀ
So my soul longeth after TheeĀ
You alone are my heartās desireĀ
And I long to worship TheeĀ
You alone are my Strength, my ShieldĀ
To You alone may my spirit yieldĀ
You alone are my heartās desireĀ
And I long to worship Thee.Ā
Verse 3Ā
I want You more than gold or silverĀ
Only You can satisfyĀ
You alone are the real joy-giverĀ
And the apple of my eyeĀ
You alone are my Strength, my ShieldĀ
To You alone may my spirit yieldĀ
You alone are my heartās desireĀ
And I long to worship Thee.Ā
Verse 2Ā
Youāre my Friend and You are my BrotherĀ
Even though You are a KingĀ
I love You more than any otherĀ
So much more than anythingĀ
You alone are my Strength, my ShieldĀ
To You alone may my spirit yieldĀ
You alone are my heartās desireĀ
And I long to worship Thee.

Lyrics
Christ Liveth In Me
Once far from God and dead in sinĀ
No light my heart could seeĀ
But in God's word the light I foundĀ
Now Christ liveth in meĀ
Christ liveth in meĀ
Christ liveth in meĀ
Oh, what a salvation thisĀ
That Christ liveth in meĀ
As rays of light from yonder sunĀ
The flowers of earth set freeĀ
So life and light and love come forthĀ
From Christ living in meĀ
Christ liveth in meĀ
Christ liveth in meĀ
Oh, what a salvation thisĀ
That Christ liveth in meĀ
As lives the flower within the seedĀ
As in the cone the treeĀ
So, praise the Christ of truth and graceĀ
His Spirit dwelleth in meĀ
Christ liveth in meĀ
Christ liveth in meĀ
Oh, what a salvation thisĀ
That Christ liveth in meĀ
With longing all my heart is filledĀ
That like Him I may beĀ
As on the wondrous thought I dwellĀ
That Christ liveth in meĀ
Christ liveth in meĀ
Christ liveth in meĀ
Oh, what a salvation thisĀ
That Christ liveth in meĀ
Christ liveth in meĀ
Christ liveth in meĀ
Oh, what a salvation thisĀ
That Christ liveth in me
